What did you spend your second transfer on?
Since I value my children's education, the first thing I did when I received my money was to clear their school fee balance so that they could go back to school for their studies because they were sent home for school fee. I bought three bags of maize for consumption because I don't have a place for farming so the maize will keep us going. I opened a mining business with part of the transfer because previously I could help people with laundry for payment which was not enough to cater for my family. This consumed a lot of my time and I didn't have time for my children but now I'm happy I spend most of my time with them. I also renovated my house because part of it had fallen off which was so insecure.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Gd does well in giving unconditional cash to the needy so that they can improve their lives. I don't see anything Gd does not do well in.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the money because I now have a source of income from the mining business I invested my second transfer on. This has given me enough time with my children unlike before when I could leave very early in the morning to do laundry for people and come back later in the evening.

The moment I received the transfer, I felt absolutely happy. In fact it was beyond my expectation.
