How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed because through these cash transfer, I have built commercial house which is now at finishing level. This will generate for me income to pay schools for my six children. Previously, I had nothing which could generate income for my family. Thanks to GiveDirectly for enabling me achieve my dream.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by giving me an opportunity to build a commercial house which will generate income for my family. GiveDirectly has not done anything wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought building materials( 7 trips of bricks, 1 trip of sand, ring beam wire, 10 bags of cement ) and paid labour.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that, I have started to build commercial house which will help me sustain my family. I have an asset which even my grandchildren will find. In the past, I had nothing which could generate income for my family.

The moment I received money from GiveDirectly, I felt very happy because I never thought I would hold such an amount of money.

I bought build materials ( bricks, cement 7 bags, and 2 trips sand) worth UGX 1,430,000 and transport worth UGX 270,000.
