What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought a piece of land with all the second transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly only did good through giving us cash transfers which have helped us alot. There is nothing that givedirectly does not do well according to me.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Our lives were in a sorry state. We were desperate and hopeless but when we received the transfers out lives became better and that is a very big difference.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer I spent 1,500,000 UGX to start a maize produce retail shop for my spouse and I also used the balance to treat myself and buy some clothings.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I saw the message on my phone, I got out of my bed and chanted songs of joy. I could not sleep anymore as I was very happy and I thank Give directly for the cash transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has greatly changed and if it was for that cash transfer I would have not healed from my sickness. That cash transfer helped me alot because at that moment I was very sick and I needed money for health care.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship iface in life is stress due to sickness that keeps on attacking my spouse and children so the little money I get is always channelled for treatment instead of other uses like feeding ,crop production and so on .This is causing poverty in my family
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of the day is morning hours because I smile while taking tea with my little boys Eliaja and sam
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will help me buy motorcycle for my family,my spouse will be riding it carrying passengers in anear by municipality of mbale thus making money for our survival
