What did you spend your third transfer on?
When I received my third transfer, I cleared my loans with 15000 KES, and saved the rest for secondary education of my child who is currently in a primary school. I would be glad to see him through his education more smoothly.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer because I have built a kitchen that has liberated us from cooking in open with harsh environmental conditions like sporadic rains and scorching sun. And again, it has liberated me from vicious cycle of debts and currently, I live a more peaceful state of mind. Heavy debts never allowed my mind to settle.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What Give Directly did well was working with more transparency. All that were promised money received but it did not do well by giving us little grant. 1000 Us Dollar was never enough to enable us accomplish our big dreams.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy building materials that I used to construct a kitchen. Previously I used to cook outside and I could be rained on. I have also saved some of the materials that I am planning to use to build a kiosk where I will be able to sell vegetables with ease.

The biggest difference in my daily life is having that kitchen erected in my compound. My children also dress well when going to school. Thanks to GiveDirectly.
