My life is different than how it would have been in that I have build a better house. I used to live in a small house which could not host all the family comfortably. When I received the first transfer I bought a piece of land and my wished was to build a house on that land. I am so happy because GiveDirectly has enabled me to do so. Currently I have a spacious house which can host all my family members comfortably and I live in my own farm. I operate a motorcycle taxi business, the amount of money that I get through this is so small and cannot meet all the basic needs of the family including paying school fees. I am so grateful for the support because GiveDirectly enabled me to achieve this goal. My children are so happy because they have their own rooms .GiveDirectly changed our living standard and given us hope to improve for the better.

In my opinion GiveDirectly does well by giving money to the poor in the community to build better houses and to buy dairy cows. I do not find anything that GiveDirectly did not do well.

I spent part of the money I received from GiveDirectly on building a better house on the new land that I bought using the previous transfer. I also bought a goat and the rest of the money I spent on food and clothes for my family members. I am so grateful for the support because GiveDirectly has changed my living standard.

It was in the morning and I was at home when I received the SMS on my phone saying that I had received the transfer from GiveDirectly. I was filled with excitement and I informed my wife about it. The transfer is going to bring a difference to my family. With the cow that we have always wanted, we will be able to have our milk for sale and consumption. The milk sales will enable us to have an income that we will be able to use on other important things. The transfer will also enable us to build another house, we have been living in only one house that is small for too long, with this new house, we will have enough space that can even accommodate guests visiting us.

This transfer from GiveDirectly has helped us a lot. We bought a cow with some of the money, built another house, and used part of the transfer to pay for our school fees. We decided to settle on buying those things because those are things that we did not have and we have always wanted to have them for so long but due to lack of finances, we have not been able to acquire them. The lack of finances is attributed to the fact that my wife and I are both studying at the university. She is a full-time student and I am a school-based student. When she is at school, I am at home, I have to work very hard to provide for her and pay for her school fees. When I am at school, she is at home and she has to do the same for me. With this transfer, we decided to buy a cow and hence we will now be having our milk which we can sell and consume at the same time. We also decided to build another house because the house that we are living in is small, with this new house we will be able to have enough room even for our guests visiting.
