How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The biggest difference in my life is that now we are more happy with my husband presently. Before, I would sometime depend on my husband so much until when he wouldn't provide for us it would result to quarrel. Now I took a tailoring course which after I graduated I secured a casual job as a tailor and can take care of household shopping as he take care of schoolfees and other bills. We live in harmony. Thanks to Give Directly for bring such harmony in our family.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly did an amazing work by giving us unconditional transfers which enabled us to change our living standards. Now when I look around my home I got good furniture and solar lighting which has made my life much better. According to me,there is nothing which I can point out that GD never did right since there procedures are transparent.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
The second transfer which I received from GiveDirectly, I spend part of it to purchase some build materials to construct a shop. Had a plan to start up a shop but my dream wasn't successful until I received my second transfer which enabled me to achieved my dream. I then spent the remaining part to buy stock for the business.
