What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third cash transfer on buying a barell for storing water, paid a loan that I borrowed to buy a solar panel, paid college fees for my daughter, bought maize, sorghum to beef up food security and deposited 8,000 KES in my savings account.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal is to start selling maize in large scale to enable me earn daily income. This will ease payment of school fees for the children.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life has changed for the better because I have a solar panel so I don't buy fuel anymore to illuminate my house at night. The money I used to spend on fuel is now spent on buying children the little things they need in school. I have a burglar proof door, I now sleep soundly knowing that my family and property are safe. Had I not received this cash transfer, all this would still be a dream to me.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my token payment, I spent 5500 KES on 2 goats, 1000 KES on clothing, 1000 KES on clothing and the remaining 2500 KES on food.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
I am planning to buy a cow and build a semi-permanent house with my upcoming lumpsum transfer.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy a goat, then I will buy some clothes and shoes for an orphaned child who stays with me. The remaining transfers will be used to buy sand, cement, timber, round poles, nails and iron roofing sheets which I will use to enlarge my house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is being able to make sisal ropes which I sell at our local market. It is not an easy job but I have excelled at it and the proceeds have enabled me to purchase a solar lighting kit.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of raw materials to make sisal ropes, I have to purchase the sisal and this ultimately eats into my profits. I am also not fit health wise and I have to eat regular meals but this is not always possible, I fear that I may succumb to the illness if my financial situation does not improve.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the evening when I have sold all my sisal ropes.I usually have some money in my pocket and I can buy nutritious meals for myself and my child.
