Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional plans for the next four months is to be able to pay for the piece of land that I am buying. I have already made the first payment for this and I am looking forward towards making a full payment for this. I plan to do this by continuing to be part of the merry go round and paying all the money once I receive my next contribution.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the furnishing of my house. I did not have furniture in the house but I now have the house fully furnished. I have also been able to pay partly for a piece of land that I am planning to buy. I stay at home and I was only given a house to stay in with my children with no place to do farming. It is for this reason that I resorted to making partial payments towards buying a piece of land and I can proudly say I am somewhere close to buying the piece of land.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I shall have a place to call home. I am currently staying at home and do not have a piece of land. By end of six months, I expect to have fully paid for the piece of land as well as build a new house in it.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months I really don't have a new goal since I am pushing on to see that I complete the payment of a piece of land I have been paying for from the first transfer I received. With the Merry-go-round I have been participating in, I have a strong believe that at the end of four months, I will have received my turn and that will enable me to clear the remaining 30000 KES for the piece of land.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the clearance of school fees for my daughter who is currently in form four. It has really been great since this money has always given me an easy time in settling the school fees for all my children. School fees payment was a great challenge before receiving the transfers from GD, but upon receiving, I have been able to comfortably manage all other bills since the school fees was already sorted.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
It is my expectation that in the next six months, my daughter will have completed her secondary school studies, and all effort will be redirected to payment of my piece of land. I am hopeful that I will be making my last payment before then since I am expecting some money from the merry-go-round I have been participating in.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I don't have a new goal since I am struggling to ensure that I complete the payment of my piece of land. After the completion, that's when I will initiate another goal of constructing a new house in the same piece of land.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life the last four months is the full participation in the merry-go-round - a project which we started with a group of village members all receiving the GiveDirectly transfers. Through this project, I have been able to start paying for the piece of land with a total worth of 80000 KES. Currently, I have been able to pay halfway and soon I will be completing it since I am expecting my turn in the merry-go-round. The accumulation of money to one individual at a time has been so easy since it's a smooth way of saving without being tempted to spend the money on plans other than the intended one.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Among the many plans which are currently on, I have great expectations that in the next six months, I will have completed the payment of the piece of land. Following that completion, I will immediately resort to the construction of a new house.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different in that I have been able to save some money with the hope that I will buy a piece of land. Before, I could barely make enough money for the basic needs and for my children's school fees, leave alone doing a saving. This has been an achievement and even though I may not be as discipline in saving, but I am making some good strides towards it. I have also been able to buy some household furniture such as table and chair which I never had before.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My plan right now is to buy a small piece of land of my own. Right now, I stay in my father's compound and I am uncomfortable staying here because my brothers always ask me what I am doing to move out because traditionally, it is only the sons who inherit their father's assets. I want to move out as soon as I can to avoid causing unnecessary chaos and tension between us. I have been saving for a while now and once I get enough, I will surely buy a small piece of land where I can build myself and my family a house and live comfortably.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to buy food and other household items and basic needs for my children. I am a small scale trader and most of the proceeds I get from this business usually goes to school. And since school for my children is a priority, I could end up not having enough food at home. When I started receiving these transfers, this situation changed and I was able to apportion the transfers and proceeds to all the needs. I am also no longer worried because I can now pay the school fees with less difficulty as before. Thanks to Give Directly for the noble cause.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
my expectation in the near future is to get my own piece of land to build and make a home. I want my children to have a place to call home where they are comfortable, unlike the current situation where they are always reminded that they do not belong there. I also pray that they excel in their studies by ensuring I am financially stable and able to support them through school. I thank Give Direcly for coming through for us and I am confident that these dreams will be achieved.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Since I have been able to pay school fees for my child who is in high school, I am now able to concentrate more on my business. This means that I can now make more profits to take care of my basic needs and even have extra to save
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I would like to expand my business so that I can get more profit which shall enable me to gather for my family needs. I have been saving a small amount trough merry-go-round and in two months time, I will be receiving the collection. I intend to buy more cereals for sale and would expect to earn income from it.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In the last four months, my child has not been sent out of school since I have been able to pay for his school fees on time. Being a single parent, it has not been easy providing for the family with the little money which I earn from my business. My child would be sent home for fees and that would be the hardest moment in my life. Recently, I took part of the transfer and bought some beans which I then supplied to the school to cater for part of the school fees. This settled quite a huge part because the school purchased the beans at a much higher price compared to what I would have sold it for in the local market. Were it not for Give Directly, I believe that my child wouldn't be in school and so, receiving these transfer has really helped me support my child and this has brought a big difference in my life.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I believe after I get to expand my business, I do expect more income which I will save to buy a piece of land where I would do farming. Currently, we have a small piece of land which is not enough to carry out meaningful farming so that I can get another source of income.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different because I have hope that my child will finish her secondary education. Life was hard because I used to get little cash day by day from my small business of buying and selling maize. I was not assured of where school fee will come from because I am a single mother and they all depend on me. Give Directly transfers will enable me to pay the fee and I am grateful.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I plan to buy a cow that will give us milk for consumption and sale. I currently do not have a cow and I buy milk every day. The cow will eliminate the expense of milk.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Give Directly transfers have really helped me. The biggest difference in my daily life is economic progress. I now own a sofa set and I pay school fees for my children without struggling because I used to struggle initially due to lack of funds.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to be better. I plan to own a cow and a few more furniture because I already have one seat. I expect my children to study well because Give Directly funds will help me pay part of their fee. Initially I used to think they might not complete their studies and it used to disturb me a lot but now there is hope for me and for them too. I prefer for my children to have a better life than mine and education is the answer to a better life in future.
