How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than if I had not received cash transfers in that, my living conditions have improved. Before, I did not have good clothes and beddings.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has done well through their selection criteria which is not biased. I do not see what they have not done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second cash transfer worth UGX 1,633,000 for paying tuition worth UGX 490,000, I paid cement of UGX116,000, I have made bricks of UGX100,000. I paid a debt of 100,000. I have saved UGX 687,000 for building my house and UGX 140,000, I used for buying beddings and clothes.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
I was not going to be able to pay school fees for my children if it wasn't for GD and also to construct a house so that's a big difference in my life.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so happy even up to now am still very happy.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent 700000 ugx to buy construction materials and the remaining 1000000 ugx to construct a house and pay school fees.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will enable me give my old house a face lift and also pay my children's school fees.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when i get money because this anables me meet the home basic needs and everyone will be happy.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is when robbers attacked me in my house and beat me up and am still having effects of the beatings like recarrying chest pain and headache upto date.
