How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that am able to afford food. I eat twice a day and my body is generally looking healthy unlike before when I could eat once a day or even go to bed on an emputy stomach.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Give Directly did well to give me money. I have nothing to say that they did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer for buying a cow at 570,000ugx, bricks 280,000ugx, ropes at 8,000ugx, food of 250,000ugx, a cloth of 25,000ugx grass thatch of 80,000ugx. I used 183,000ugx for completing payment of a bull that I had deposited for. I gave my daughter a gift worth 15, 000ugx, I bought drugs worth 10,000ugx, saved 200,000ugx and paid transport of 12,000ugx.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am now able to eat a variety of food since can afford with the money I got from Give Directly, feeding has been a problem following the floods that have swept across our community.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received my first transfers, I was so excited.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I bought a bull worth 830,000ugx since I had one already, they will help me in ploughing land for cultivation. I also bought a mattress worth 55,000ugx since I did not have one. The balance of 815,000ugx, I will use for buying medication for my self and feeding.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is associated to my poor health condition after i was operated. This has lowered my ability to carry out any activity that would hence provide income to sustain my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means buying livestock and ox plough to facilitate on my agricultural production.
