What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying a second hand motor cycle for 60,000 KES, having topped up with 13, 000 KES saved from our second transfer. Before we got GD transfer my husband used a hired motor cycle for transportation business, where he paid 1,500 to motor cycle owner per week, but he would give me 50 KES-200 KES, per week for house upkeep. In fact I used to survive by washing clothes for people. I thank God I invested 14,000 KES from my second transfer on second hand clothes business and I sell the clothes in different markets around, depending on the market days concept. As we talk now I have a stock of about 15,000 KES, and savings of 8,000 KES. In addition, my husband gives me more money for house upkeep since we acquired our own motor cycle. Again, he himself has already bought six bags of cement using profits from the business in readiness for plastering our house in the near future. He also has savings as much as he does not reveal to me the details. These days our living standard has improved and eating chicken in our house is not a problem.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Our biggest hardship we're currently experiencing is scarcity of money as my husband is using someone's motorbike which the owner takes away anytime he pleases. In that case my husband has to sit back in the house meaning that we won't even manage to buy food for that day.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I'm happiest in the evening because then I'm resting from house chores.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I was filled with happiness because I know that if it is true then we are going to have our own home.
