How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
If I could not have received the money I could not have managed to buy dairy cow and I am very sure I could still be spending money to buy milk from my neighbors.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion give dieectly did well in training people wisely before giving out the money. They did so well by dealing with use directly and not involving the third party.i did not see what give directly did not do well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent most of the second transfer to buy a dairy cow,I thought of buying cow because it is a long term investment that I could relay on for so long and it is also a source of income to my family. Fortunately it has started producing milk, that I am selling some to the community and some for my family consumption and making profit. Since the milk has started getting me some income, my family has never gone to bed hungry. We are able to at least meet our daily needs, as compared to before when I was depending on farming alone to sustain my family which sometimes I could not even get enough produce to sustain my family. I also spent the transfer to improve my cattle farming by adding three more sheep as my future investment. I spent the transfer to buy three bags of maize for my consumption since there was a lot of draught last season that I did not get enough harvest that could sustain my family. The remaining I spent to buy food stuffs since I did not have any source of income.
