What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on buying food, two sheep, one bag of maize, a solar sytem, I payed school fees for my three children and I also bought cement that I used in renovating my house
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I was able to afford to pay school fees for my children, I was also able to renovate my house and I also bought a solar system that helps me in lighting
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What Give Directly has done well is improving people's lives through sending cash directly to their recipients, without any payments expected in return and I don't see what Give Directly hasn't done well

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I bought a lorry of sand at 8,000 KES, a cow at 16,000 KES, a solar lamp at 6,000 KES, 60 kilograms of maize at 1,500 KES, paid 15,000 KES school fee for my son in high school, used 1,000 KES on clothes for my children then used the rest on food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My children can now study up to very late hours without the worries of running out paraffin because I have a solar lamp.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on paying school fees for my children as I have a child who is supposed to be going to a boarding school, I will spend part of the transfer on buying a water tank and the remaining amount I will spend on renovating my house as I plan to buy five bags of cement that will be used in plastering the walls of my house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that I am proudest of is that I have been able to maintain my small business of selling fruits at the local market thereby enabling me to keep my kids in school.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face in my life is that I am a widow and getting food and school fees for my kids without he support of my husband is really a challenge as the little I earn is not enough for us as a family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when I go to the market in the morning to sell fruits and I am able to get cash to support my family. This makes me not to beg for support from other people hence it makes me happy.
