Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received the cash transfer, I felt relieved and happy. For so long I had a dream of acquiring oxen to ease farming for the family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The most evident change is that I acquired an oxplough and a pair of oxen that have farming very easy and less costly. In the past,we had to hire oxen so as to till our farm land which was costly.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I spent the cash transfer to purchase a pair of oxen worth UGX1450000 and an oxplough worth UGX150000. The balance was spent on food and medical bills.

Receiving this money means I can buy livestock and a motor bike.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning. It's always my ioy to wake up in health together with the whole family.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced is absence of oxen to cultivate the agricultural land. In addition, as a family we don't have a good means of transport that can facilitate movements to other places especially the hospital.
