How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, I have acquired livestock for rearing as a form of financial security for my family. I was able to save some few transfers which I used to buy goats which have already reproduced .and a cow to start off the livestock rearing project. This is something I have always wanted to venture into but due to my meager income, I could not but rather focus on catering to other needs of my family. I am thankful to GiveDirectly for giving me an opportunity of seeing some of my challenges in a positive way.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal for the next four months is to boost my grocery business which is up and running. I expect to generate and additional income out of the doubled profits then use some of them buy hybrid seeds and fertilizer which I would use on my farm. I know when I do this I will get a good harvest to help me feed my family and raise extra cash to buy other household needs after selling part of the harvest.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
For the last four months, I have been saving part of my transfers which has enabled me to acquire a paged goats. It would have taken me a long time to purchase these livestock if I were to buy them at my own cost. Today, I am happy since it has reproduced and I feel I made the right decision because as they continue to reproduce. I will sell some of the grown young ones in exchange for a dairy cow where I will get milk from it and my family members won't miss their breakfast without milk as they do most often where they take porridge instead.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect in the next six months, to combine the GiveDirectly's transfers and profits of my grocery business and buy a dairy cow. Having this dairy cow will save me from buying milk at my neighbors and use the saved amount to buy household items like utensils and decent seats which I am lacking at the moment.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because my family is currently able to have all the meals in a day. This was not possible in the past because I never had a reliable source of income. At times, we could go to bed hungry due to the lack of enough money to buy food. From the transfers, I managed to start up a small business which brings us some income thus making it easier for us to buy food.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to buy a dairy cow in the next four months which will provide us with milk that we can sell as well as keep some for domestic consumption. I have saved some money in a savings group which I am hopeful will be enough to get me a good dairy cow within the time I have planned.

How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect to have saved more money to be able to buy more household items such as furniture which I do not have at the moment. Having good furniture will make my house look more beautiful and I will be able to welcome my guest without feeling ashamed and worried that they may be forced to sit on broken seats or eat on their laps.
