What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent most of my third transfer to pay fees for my son who was joining a mechanical course. The remaining amount, I spent to buy iron sheets, fascia board, paint which I have used in my house and also bought a sack of maize for consumption.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that, I now live in a more spacious house and also my child would not have joined college due to our financial status. This would not have been possible without the transfer.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well in sending us money which has uplifted the living standards of the recipients in our community. GiveDirectly should inform the community prior to their visits for them to reach the entire community.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my transfer on buying building materials which I am intending to use on extending my house to make it more spacious. I then paid college fee for my son who is pursuing a course in plant engineering. I then paid fee for another son and spent the rest on farming and buying food for my family.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I now get very busy tending to my farms unlike before when I had no money to get into serious farming.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I'm planning to spend my transfer on paying school fees for my children in both secondary school and college,I will also renovate my current house by having it expanded and lastly use the remaining amount to buy one dairy cow to raise.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement I'm proudest of is owning my current house, in the past I used to live in a thatched roof house which mostly would leak during rainy seasons.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship currently is on making ends meet and paying school fees for my children . I'm a widow and the only bread winner for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the afternoon when resting after taking lunch.
