How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is difference that it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have purchased a dairy cow . This dairy cow would cater for the future education of my children . I will be able to sell the calves so as to pay their school fees for them . On the other hand , through selling milk it shall boost my income and my husband's that we get out of doing causal jobs hence meeting most of my family's needs will no longer became a challenge .
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion , GiveDirectly did well through giving money to the poor that alleviated poverty in my society . It was very significant of the organization to work independently . I do not think if it would have worked with our area chief as an intermediary I definitely I couldn't have benefited from the money bearing in mind that I was qualified due to high corruption nature they have in them .
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent 28,000 KES of my second transfer to buy a dairy cow . At the moment I get three litters of milk which my family consumes and two litters I do sell and the profits caters for my family's needs . I bought 50 chicken to start a commercial poultry rearing project . I bought two sack of maize for my family's consumption . The remaining amount I have saved on my Mpesa account .

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to finish building a decent house for my family. As a result of this, we are now living happily as we no longer live in fear especially during this rainy season. Having a good shelter for my family would not have been possible had it not have been for GiveDirecty who gave us financial support.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
It was at dawn after waking up when I realized that I had received some money from GiveDirectly. I became so happy and I gave thanks to God for answering my prayers as I knew that I would be able to achieve my life dreams.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I received my first transfer, I used it to buy some iron sheets, timber, nails, cement and also paid a mason for the work of building a decent house for my family. This had always been my desire but I could not accomplish it due to insufficient funds as the money we usually get from doing some casual work could barely feed us. Also, the house I was living in was dilapidated and used to leak during the rainy season and our bedding would get soaked in water.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money will help me complete building my house which is halfway under construction.I will then use part of the money to buy a dairy cow.The milk I get from the cow will serve as a source of income. The remaining money will enable me buy food for my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I spend the morning hours around my compound.First I start by milking the cow then doing the daily house chores and cleanliness. After lunch I go graze the cattle till evening sets in.I enjoy the morning hours because I spend time around my compound therefore I do not have much to do.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Last year I had a tooth ache that resulted into a serious dental problem. My jaw was swollen and full of pus.I could not eat any solid food and had difficulty breathing for almost one month.I underwent an operation to rectify the problem.I had to nurse a serious wound which I had to go for chekup every month for four months. It took me a whole year to recover fully. This is the biggest hardship I have faced in my life.At one time I was very weak and almost lost hope.
