What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the third transfer buying a cow for production of milk which I can sell and get income. Besides that, I also bout 4 sheep and plastered my house with cement.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different because I managed to buy a cow which I didn't have before, I also plastered my house to make it look nice like other houses in the village.

In my opinion, GiveDirectly should continue giving unconditional transfers to poor households in order to elevate poverty.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on purchasing a sheep which is easy to keep unlike other animals and spent the major part of the transfer on plastering my house to avoid smearing everytime .

The biggest difference in my daily life is that my house is smart,mopping is easy and I don't have to smear it every month.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used 1000 KES to utensils, i have a solar panel that i pay monthly so i used 5000 KES and payed it. I used 1000 KES to buy school shoes for my children. The remaining 3000 KES i used to buy food for my family children.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to buy sand, cement, timber, round poles and nails which I will use to build a better house for my family.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having been a successful farmer and managed to build my own house with proceeds from the sale of my crops.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of a sustainable source of income for myself and my spouse. We have children who are in school and if we are unable to raise the required fees they may drop out of school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around midday when I am having my lunch together with my family and friends.
