What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying school fees for my son in secondary school. He had dropped out of school for lack of money. I am happy he is going to clear his secondary school. Using part of the money I bought a piece of land that I want to use to put up a business premise where I can make money and be self reliant.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that my son has been able to go back to school. Were it not for this money,my son could have never gone back to school after my house accidentally burnt down.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion,GiveDirectly does well by giving cash directly to their recipients as they promise and to make matters best it is unconditional. This is unlike the other NGOs I have seen around. On the other hand GiveDirectly should think of giving cash to everyone they visit and not just the selected few.
