What did you spend your second transfer on?
By the time I received the third transfer I was still staying at my father-in-law's home so when I received the money I used it to build my home. I'm now happy and feel more independent having my own my compound.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly does well in transparency. They are not corrupt and delivers as they promise. On the other hand I do not feel there is anything Give Directly is not doing well.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different from the way it would have been if I never received the transfer in that if it was not for the money my child would not have joined college. This is because by the time I received the money she also received her admission letter to the college and at the same time I had a daughter in secondary school who also owed the school fee balance. Without GiveDirectly I wouldn't have afforded to take the two to school.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I have 3 children that I am paying for school fees-2 in college and 1 in secondary school and therefore I used the money to pay for them the whole year fees. The money offered me a great relief!
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment I received my money from Give Directly, I felt very joyous and decompressed! I had been having huge school fees arrears that the money would relieve me from.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Being a subsistence farmer raising enough money to pay school fees for my children both in college and high schools and sustaining my family has been the greatest hardship in life.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when my children are able to go to school without being sent home for school fees knowing that they improve on their studies.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
I am feeling very happy knowing that I am going to receive money from GD since I have my daughter we did her forth form in 2015 and was not able to join college because her sister was already in college and we were struggling to pay her school fees through farming, so we are very excited that final we are taking her to college after receiving the the transfer.
