What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my third transfer on paying school fees for my three children who are in high school. It gives me a greater joy to see them go to school.I have built a decent four roomed house which is still on going.I also bought two sacks of maize to feed on with my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have added capital to my arrow root business and I am getting double income hence I don't have to worry of paying my household expenditure and seeing my children through their education as well.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly did a good work of giving the poorest households unconditional cash transfers since our living standards have been uplifted positively as children have been enrolled back in different schools and individuals have started businesses too.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I cleared fee balance for my three children in secondary school because when they are in school am at peace as a parent. I also bought some iron sheets in preparation for building a new house because my current house is smaller.

My children are in school without any fee balance like other children. I have no stress at all.

I am planning to spend the upcoming transfer on paying school fees for next year to all my children and also renovate my house from a mud house into a semi permanent one.

I am planning to pay school fees for my sons who are in secondary schools. I will also use part of the transfers to buy cement and sand which I will use to renovate my house.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is having started a small business selling sweet potatoes.This line of work has enabled me to buy a dairy cow which provides my family with milk.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face right now is lack of enough money to pay school fees for my sons who are in secondary schools. If I am unable to raise the required fees they may drop out of school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is around midday when I am having my lunch. Whenever I am eating I always feel very happy.
