What did you spend your second transfer on?
Initially, I had an intention of building my own home but unfortunately, I never had my own land. Therefore when I received my second transfer from Give Directly, I spent 30000 KES on a half piece of land and constructed a semi-permanent house of 24 iron sheets with the rest of the money. Even if I am still remaining with land arrears to clear, I live on my own land more comfortably.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am no longer homeless. I am currently living more comfortably in my own home that I acquired and built with the transfers.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I had a school fees balance for my son in a secondary school which was perturbing till I cleared the whole of it with my first transfer. I never had food too and therefore the remaining little part of it helped us buy food.
What are you planning to spend your upcoming transfer on?
My main house is too old to enable us live comfortably and again, I am longing for building a new house in my new home a dream that I believe I will accomplish with my upcoming second transfer.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
Firstly, we plan to use part of the transfer to pay school fees for our son in secondary school in form four. Our second plan is to use another part of the transfer to build a bigger house in our piece of land so that we have our own home. Lastly, we intend to use the remaining balance to start a small business of a local hotel where we hope to prepare tea, sell snacks and other local foods to the villagers.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement we're very proud of is having bought two cows that are currently providing us with milk for our use.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship we're facing is providing food for our family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I'm milking two my cows with the hope of getting milk for family use and selling the surplus to the villagers to earn some money.
