Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My main aim is to make sure that I invest more and more into agriculture so that I can realize some good harvest at the end of the season. This time round I will have to ensure that I invest in modern agricultural practices by buying modern seedlings and fertilizers which will enable me to get a bumper harvest at the end of the season.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been able to boost my small scale business which we have been running in collaboration with my wife. This particular project has seen us improve in bounds in terms of the financial profits that we have been getting on a day to day basis.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
Once I invest more into agriculture then that means I will be able to get good financial returns which will go a long way in helping me to take good care of my family's finances in the coming six or so months.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I have plastered my house. I used to live in a house with very poor condition. The mud on the walls would come out during the rainy season and I would be forced to smear after every two weeks. This was tiresome and time-consuming. Therefore I decided to plaster my house to save myself from that kind of hard work. I used my transfer to buy cement and sand which I used to plaster my house.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I wish to expand my farming practice. I would want to lease in a piece of land which I will use for farming. I know when I get a good harvest, I will sell some to raise money for other family needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
In my life, I have always depended on income from farming which has been my main source of income. I have not been getting much since I used to use local farming methods. I would not get much because the soil fertility had been used up. I used to get 2 -3 sacks of maize which could not even sustain my family till the next harvest. Since I started receiving these transfers, I have been using modern farming methods such as hybrid seed and fertilizers which has really changed my life. Ever since I started using them I have bee getting at least 5 sacks of maize which has changed my life. I no longer strain to feed my family as before.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that bought a piece of land for farming. I did not inherit so much land for farming as I would want to. This is the reason why I have decided to buy a piece of land to expand my farming practice.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different because I have a sense of hope. I perceive life differently ever since I started receiving the transfers. I am more optimistic and ambitious. I am always sure of getting something at the end of which has helped me plan and achieve some of my goals. The recent goal I had was to renovate my house. I am proud because my house looks decent after repairing it. I also managed to repair my posho mill machine. I thank GiveDirectly very much for helping me stand on my feet. For sure I don't know where I could have gotten the money to revive my business.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy fertilizer. I want to invest in Agriculture because I have all it takes to ensure one has a successful farm. To add on that, one can never go wrong in this sector as long as you do the necessary at the right season. I want to do my best and ensure that I get the best out of it. After all, this is all I got and this is the only chance I have to change my life. I believe that I will get a good harvest, my family will get enough food to last us for a long period of time. I am also certain of even selling of the produce so as to earn more income
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I have managed to repair my house. My house was in a bad shape because timber that was used to build the house had been totally destroyed by insects. My house had cracks all over. The situation was now worse because the house was built a long time ago. Now that I have renovated it I feel good. It feels nice to live in a decent house. This is the exact feeling which I had yearned for a long time.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I will have invested in large scale farming. I have never done this before so I believe my life will change greatly if all goes well. At least I will be sure of food security. In case there will be extra sacks to be sold. I will store them and wait for the right season, a time when they will be demand in order to get a higher profit.
