How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, having the cash to spend on food and other daily needs is a struggle that I have solved. I also saved on a merry go round group and I expect to receive the money in the next two months. Without GiveDirectly, these two improvements in my life would not have been possible.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy a heifer. I intend to do this in order to add to the one that I previously bought using the savings I made from the earlier transfer.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the fact that my grandchildren are happy and well-fed. These are the grandchildren who came to my homestead in order to go to a nearby school and are now under my care. I have been able to provide enough food for all of them. They enjoy their school life and have plenty of time because we prepare their evening meals early. This leaves them with enough time for their studies. This prpper care would not have been possible without GD.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to have changed in the next six months. I will have improved my pyrethrum farming and this means more income to me and better living standards for my family from it. I hope I shall have gained a large market too for the pyrethrum given that it is a rare crop grown by very few people here.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Since the year began, I have been saving money on a monthly basis. I used to save part of the transfer in a bank account that has enabled me to send a granddaughter who has been under my care since childhood to the university. Her family is headed by a single mother whom I have been supporting as they live with me here in my home. Her joining of the university just last week has given me immeasurable Joy. I have seen the fruits of the hard work I put in and the sacrifice I made using part of my transfers to pay her school fees. In addition to this Joy, I have made progress on expanding my farm under tea which means I will soon be able to get an extra income. This too has been only possible because of the transfers.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to put up a shop on a plot that I bought some years ago. I intend to start a shop business that will keep me busy in the afternoon after the intensive work on the farm. I will be making some money from the sales as I rest waiting for the next day which will be an amazing improvement to my life.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have managed to expand my tea farm. I have had a fallow land that was unutilized because I could not raise money to buy tea seedlings. I am so glad because expanding the tea farm means that I am securing the future of my children who are still in school. The investment will give my family a constant income that will be used to meet needs especially to pay school fees. I am so glad that I am able to put more land under use in tea production using the transfers I get from GiveDirectly.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
The next six months will hav changed my life because we are to start saving in merry go round among my family members only. This is an arrangement whereby my children are the only ones involved. This is done with the aim to boost our completion of any projects that any of my children will decide to engage in with ease because we are pulling the resources together. Personally, I am impressed by the response they gave to my suggestion and this saving initiative is kicking off this month.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Home improvement has really changed my life. I bought cushions for my chairs and painted my house. My house is now descent and comfortable to live in.. Painting the roofs will protect them from wearing out. Rust was rapidly forming on my roofing sheets and would destroy my home. It was worrying me as this would soon require me to build another house. After painting it, rusting has stopped and so the roof wiill lasyt longer and itheerfore ,I am not worried anymore.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I plan to keep my tea farm well.I will hire enough labor of tea pluckers to make sure that harvesting is done properly to make sure that by mid of the year, my bonus earnings will be the maximum possible.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to feed my family well. Stress and pressure to provide for the family as I used to walk long distances searching for menial jobs. At times I would not get work. On days like this, food would be a problem. This would stress me a lot. I am now happy that my family is assured of enough food on a daily basis.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, my life will have changed. I will have built a better floor for my house. I intend to make into concrete in order to reduce the problem of dusty rooms. My wife is old now and can no longer smear the floor as regularly as necessary. I need to plaster it so that she doesn't strain in cleaning it. This is possible in the netx six months as I continue to received money from GivveDireclty.

Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
My new goal that I have planned is to increase stock of Pyrethrum and Tea leaves. Before receiving the transfers, I had not thought of this because of little income which is just enough to support my family needs. Increase in stock will have an impact of increasing profits and bonus at the end of six months.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is currently different from how it would have been before receiving the transfers such that I am happier now having in mind that the bonuses and profits that I will get from my business will increase hence boost my income. This will really improve my family living standards.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change to better in the next six months since by that time I will have received bonuses from my Pyrethrum and tea leaves selling business which will enable me purchase a 0.1 acre piece of land. This will reduce congestion in my current piece of land especially for raising cattle
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am generally happy because I spent the transfers I got to increase in my tea leaves and Pyrethrum stock which enables me to make a profit on a daily basis.
