Food insecurity has become my primary challenge due to the lack of a stable income to meet daily needs. I plan to use my first cash transfer to stock up on food for my family and purchase essentials like metallic boxes for my children's clothes. I also hope to improve our living conditions by finally owning a cooking gas, something I've dreamed of but couldn't afford due to financial constraints. In addition, my house roof is worn out and in need of repair, and we lack a water tank for household use. The final cash transfer will be critical in resolving these issues.
What is the happiest part of your day?
I am truly grateful for my children's academic achievements, despite the many challenges we've faced. My firstborn has secured a place at Nairobi University, and my second-born is attending Loreto Matunda High School. This progress is incredibly encouraging and fills me with pride.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
Being in a polygamous family presents one of my greatest challenges, as I am burdened with immense responsibilities, forced to care for the family single-handedly due to the negligence and lack of support from others in the household.
