What did you spend your second transfer on?
I did spend my transfer to build a modern kitchen that costed me 30,000 KES. The remaining amount I spent on school needs for my children and as well as household expenses.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly has empowered me and improved my living standards. I am able to feed well and I have a new kitchen hence can cook without being rained on.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different, my living standards have been elevated to another level. As compared to initially I could go without food but now am able to feed well thanks to the transfers.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on cementing the outer walls of my house at 36,000 KES, bought and fixed a steel door and two steel windows, bought a sofa set at 9,000 KES, a bed. My house is now very decent and no longer gets damaged with rains as before.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I felt so good when I received the money because it was God's gift and blessing.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I currently face is lack of enough money to pay school fees for my children. If I am unable to raise the required amount they may have to drop out of school.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up and receive a visitor, this is because the Lord has blessed me with life and I am able to meet others.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that I will be able to build a better house as my current house is dilapidated. I will also be able to pay school fees for my children.
