Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal for my life for the next four-month is to buy another cow. I believe this is the best way to invest in it because it is not costly. In our area managing cows is very easy because we have enough land for pasture therefore our cows can never die of hunger. I am very positive towards this project because I have seen my neighbor become successful out of the same business. I feel encouraged because he also started with one cow. I am very hopeful that things will work out as planned
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I bought a dairy cow for rearing and also as future financial security. Having bought a cow has given me a lot of happiness in my life in that I am also at the same level as my fellow neighbors, those that used to laugh at me that I do not have anything to rear no longer do so. I know probably after a short while it will give birth, I will have milk both for domestic and commercial purposes too. I feel happy and encouraged because I am soon going to have an additional source of income thus I will be in a position to provide for my family with a lot of ease.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months, in that I will be having a stable business that will enable me to have an additional source of income. I believe that moving forward, paying school fees for my school-going children won't be a problem anymore.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago in that we are staying a healthy life by eating well. The cow that I bought with my monthly transfers from Give just gave birth two weeks ago thus I am assured of milked tea every morning and art the same time, I sell the little surplus to get money. Initially affording even strong tea daily was not that easy because of my low financial status, we could go without breakfast and take lunch and super unlike today, my family is assured of the three meals a day and a balanced one.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new or additional goal for my life for the next four months is to buy sand and cement so that I plaster my house. I am staying in a house that the floor is dusty and at times when it rains the water from underground penetrates out wetting the floor. During heavy rains it worsens, the floor gets flooded, you might think I stay in a river.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
I have been saving my transfers from Give Directly thus I bought a cow for rearing. I am glad it gave birth two weeks ago, I am now milking. I thank God, currently, I have milk for domestic use and also for business. The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I have an additional source of income and two cows that are also my future financial security. I am now able to buy food for my family with a lot of ease, I do not strain like before when I used to depend on casual work which its pay was unreliable. I have school-going children thus I pay their fees on time using my monthly income from Give Directly, they are no longer sent home for fee balances like before when I had not started receiving money from Give Directly. I thank Give Directly for having changed my life to a better level.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I am getting too old thus at times I find it difficult in taking care of the cattle and other house chores. When my children are in school, I find it very difficult to balance the two chores. I expect to employ a caretaker who will help me take care of the animals as well as daily house chores.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was in that, I am able to take care of my needs easily. Nowadays, I can save some amount from the monthly transfers that I get from GiveDirectly. The savings normally helps me a lot, especially during emergencies. Previously, I was not able to save because I used to depend on odd jobs which were unreliable hence saving even a coin was just a dream. But I am glad that I will no longer have to take loans in order to settle my emergencies.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy sheep. This is where I want to invest all my money because I am sure It will give me good returns. Rearing sheep does not require a lot of attention, furthermore, there are not picky in terms of what to eat and what not to eat. They can also survive in fair climatic conditions. I hope they will one day multiply so that I can sell them and use the money to take care of my needs and emergencies.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I managed to buy two steel windows. I had built my house without windows. My husband had promised to fix the windows but he never fulfilled this promise. I am glad that I will soon have more light penetrating inside my house since I had permanently covered it. The steel windows will last long and also security wise they will serve me right. If maybe the house catches fire by mistake I can easily escape using the windows to save myself although I pray that it never happens.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that, I will have bought my sheep which will sustain me even after the transfers from GiveDirectly have stopped. I will have also cemented my house and fixed my windows. My house will look more decent and will save me from the shame of being laughed at by the neighbours. When these goals actualize, I will be a proud woman who stays in a decent house. On top of that, I will also be financially stable since I can sell the sheep and use the money to take care of my needs or emergencies.
