How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
These cash transfers have enabled me construct an iron roofed house which they have just fitted a door. Once I shift in my new house, I am going to be relieved from the burden of renovating my hut annually and its leaking roof although I am currently sleeping in it. In addition, I have got a piece of land that I can use freely without restrictions. Previously I rented land which limited the kinds of crops I could plant, I never planted crops that took a long period of time like cassava yet its a staple food in our community.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that I spent to purchase household items and construct an iron roofed house. On my side, GiveDirectly has not done anything bad.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase a door, cement, clothes, utensils, foodstuffs, jerry cans, children's education, lent out UGX 500,000 in exchange of an a piece of land and gifts. I have not yet sent UGX 200,000 but I am planning to spend it to buy a cow.

The moment I received the money I became so happy, I said a prayer to thank God for the transfer.

I spent UGX 130,000 of my first transfer for paying school fees for my child. I am spending the rest of the money for constructing an iron roofed house.
