What did you spend your third transfer on?
Traditions require that my husband pay my dowry, which for my husband he had not paid due to his low income, so when I received my third transfer, I saw this as the opportunity for my dowry to be paid. We bought three cows that were used and some money for the function too were spent. Nowadays I feel like a complete African woman and the love between me and my husband has also been improved since then. I am not sure if this could have happened this early with the little income my husband has. The remaining I spent on buying two sheep for rearing.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I used my second transfer to buy a cow and a sheep at a total cost of 17000 KES. I then used 15000 KES to pay secondary school fees for my child thus relieving me from the stress associated with fees. Since I did not have proper bedding, I also used part of the money to buy bedding; then used the rest of the balance to buy dry maize and other foodstuffs to cushion my family from the current famine following the prolonged drought last season.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have enough food in my house and I also have a cow which I anticipate to start milking next year.
