What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on installing electricity in my home. Without electricity most of the projects I had in mind could not be implemented, an example is poultry keeping, a project that yields so well to those who conduct it. Use of electronics had also become a big challenge, as a result development growth has been greatly hindered.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Were it not for the transfers, I would still be living the backward kind of life I lived before of using kerosene lamps in lighting, depending on 'rich' relatives for survival and believing that jobs are only available in towns.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly has worked exceptionally well in executing its duties in ensuring that poverty is alleviated in most communities. It has empowered most people who thought they would never own any asset in this world. Am happy that people's lives are greatly transformed and several avenues opened for income generation.
