What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying school fee of 30000 KES and used the rest of the money to clear the loan I owed a micro finance.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that my child is now studying well without being sent back home for fee because I managed to clear her fee. This has released of the stress and worries of how to raise her fee.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, Gd does well by giving cash to the needy and letting them decide on how to spend it. This has enabled them to meet their various needs.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I took 10000 KES from it to offset a loan I had taken from the Kenya Women Finance Trust. I then bought a bull at 16000 KES to be used for ploughing since I had only one before and was forced to dig my gardens by hand. I also stay with my grandchild who is in secondary school, whose school fees is fully paid by me, so I used 14000 KES from the transfer balance to clear it to relieve me of the stress. The balance was then used to buy dry maize and other foodstuffs to cushion my family from the current famine after a poor harvest last season.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I no-longer get involved in hard labor of digging large tracks of land by hand since I now have a bull that I use for ploughing.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
My son is in college and another one is also suppose to join in September.I will use my transfers to pay for their college fees.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I was so sick and I could not raise medical fees but I sold my cows and paid for my treatment until I got better.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest challenge that I have is raising school fees for my son in college,and another one who is suppose to join college.My other challenge is that I am suppose to go back for surgery which needs alot of money but I lack money to pay for that treatment.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when I wake up without any pain in my body.
