How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I would still be lying in poverty. I would not have bought a cow and I wouldn't have built a house. I would still be borrowing milk for my children's consumption because times have been difficult for us. It is really worth thanking the organization for coming through for our support. We currently boast of iron roofed houses like any other person, our children are going to school and we keep dairy cows which wouldn't have been realized had it not been for the support.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly did well by helping us realize our wishes which had been dream for some time by then. There was no any other hope other than living in abject poverty for entirety in this world. We were saved by a God sent organization. Honesty, there is nothing that was done wrong.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent the transfers in buying a cow which is currently supplying milk to the family and even to the community as a source of income. I also spent the other amount in building a new house. I was living in a small grass thatched house which was raining and this posed a great risk to my children's health. I had built a kitchen, therefore I needed a new big house as well, to give us enough room for living amd even accomodate visitors whenever they come. I also begun pool business which is now my source income where I earn some money on daily basis.
