Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
How I felt when I received my first money from GiveDirectly:
I saw other people receiving their transfer from GiveDirectly on their mobile money accounts in my town at the time I didn't received mine. I was waiting to check my phone but didn't know how to do it until my niece came to help me out. When she checked the phone, she said mama you have received $42,500.00 LD from GiveDirectly. I was so happy and laughing that day that I couldn't let go of my phone easily.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly:
I have not been able to buy all the school materials needed for my children schooling over the years. I couldn't even afford to buy bookbags and new uniforms for them because the little money I get from my cassava harvest can't reach the expenses. This transfer has helped me to be able to buy all the materials needed for my children schooling; that is the biggest change I have seen for now and believe that more will come.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
What I spend my most recent transfer on:
My older daughter just got promoted to the 9th grade class and needed to go to the next town to complete her secondary education because the school in this town don't have higher classes. I have been challenged financially to send her to the next town for her schooling even the other children school fees payment has been worrying me until I received my first money from GiveDirectly. I give my older daughter some money to go to the next town school to get registered in the 9th grade class. The remaining will be use to settle the other three children school fees.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I have so many things that I want to do with money but the most important of them all is to build my house. The one I live in currently has problem, it leaks whenever the rain falls and the back of it has fallen. Living here with my family has been a problem for us because my family does not have money to fix it."
What is the happiest part of your day?
" My sister daughter was involved in a tragic motor accident in the month of March. We even heard news that she were not going to survive. The photos of the accident I saw made me to loose all hope, but as God could have it, she survived and is currently in Grand Cape Mount with her mother."
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
" my husband is old now and not well. I am the bread winner for my family. Everyone is looking up to me and myself didn't go to school, all I do is farm work and the monies I get is not enough to take care of me and my family. My children are currently out of school because no money to pay their school fees. All we are living by is 'from hand to mouth', that is we eat the little money I get from the farm work."
