My life is different from how it would have been four months ago in that I have always had three meals a day for my family. I have always used my monthly transfers to buy food in bulk to sustain us for a whole month. This is a big difference in my life since in the past I would have to go for casual work to get food. If I don't work, I would not eat at all because I could not get food. GD transfers have changed my life because even if I do not go for casual work, I still eat well and we have always had food on the table.

My new goal in the next four months is to plaster my house. I would want to finish renovating my house by buying cement and sand which I will use in plastering the house. I have always lived in fear because of the condition of the house.

My husband died two years ago and left me in a very small and pathetic house. The walls were not well made and during the rainy seasons, the mud on the wall would come off forcing me to spare time and resources to smear the house. I have always wanted to replace the roof and even plaster the walls but due to low income from casual work, I had not managed to achieve my goal. With GD transfers, I have been able to buy building materials such as iron sheets and nails which I have used to replace the roof. I am not worried that the roof would come off anytime during the rainy seasons as before. I feel at peace in as much as I have not plastered the house.

I expect my life to change in the next six months in that I will have finally achieved my goal of plastering the house. I plan to use part of my monthly transfers to buy building materials such as cement and sand to use in plastering my house. This has been my goal for the last two years and I was not able to achieve it on my own. With GD transfers, I know I will achieve.

My life is different from how it was in that, I am now able to budget well. I am able to do shopping that would last us for almost a month. I always feel that it is cheaper and more efficient to shop this way. This has even helped me not to bother my neighbors by borrowing things more often. Some things are usually difficult to borrow especially the things that a woman is supposed to have in her own kitchen.

I do not have a new goal at the moment because I have an ongoing project that I am currently doing. I am in the process of cementing my house. I do it bit by bit once I get the transfers. I know that I will soon the project. I will now be living in a more decent house and the mockery from my neighbors will soon come to a stop.

The biggest different ever since I started receiving transfers from Give Directly is that I am now independent. I am no longer a burden to the community. As a widow, I used to borrow foodstuff such as salt, cooking oil and onion. The shame of borrowing used to kill me but there was nothing I could do. I would rather be known for borrowing than see my children sleep hungry. I could not bear seeing my children suffer, therefore I could do anything in my might to ensure all was well. Nowadays, I budget well with the transfer and I feel that I have regained my respect from my neighbors.

I expect my life to change in the next six months because I will have finished repairing and furnishing my house. I am planning to complete plastering my house using the coming transfer. I have decided to plaster my house because it will last longer. Maintaining a plastered floor is also very easy and less tiresome. It usually takes a short time to clean a plastered floor. I will also never be worried about smearing it every now and then.

My life is currently different from how it was four months ago because now days l never go to bed without food as compared to before, when even getting one meal in a day a big problem.

I do not have any new goal a part from plastering my house.

The biggest difference in my daily life is that since l started receiving the money, l have hope in life because l know l can never go without food, l can even borrow things from somebody's shop knowing that l will pay without fail.

In the next six months l expect to continue saving for my project of plastering my house.

I am currently able to receive money so I do not work twice as hard as I used to in order to get money for food and fulfill all the dreams I have.

Unfortunately i have no new goals as I am concentrating on renovating and extending my house.

I have been able to have peace as I expect to receive transfers from GD monthly.I have bought sand towards renovating and extending my house.I can also eat well which has improved my health so much.

I am planning to renovate and extending my house . I am fulfilling that beautiful dream within six months..

My new goals are; cementing my house to look good and buy goats that will eventually increase in number which I can sell in exchange of dairy cattle for milk production.

My life is currently different from how it could have been if I never received the transfer from GiveDirectly in that, I managed to contribute towards a relative's funeral without borrowing which had been my normal routine.

My expect my life to change in the next six months in that, I will have moved a step ahead by plaster my house to look decent and buy goats since I don't have any at the moment.

The biggest difference in my daily life since I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly is that, I managed to contribute towards a relatives funeral without borrowing from someone which could have taken sometime because I normally repay by working on someones piece of land or any other work that I am given to clear the debt.
