How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My standard of living has greatly improved in that, I am sleeping in an iron roofed house that does not leak. The new house has made me very happy because I am now having peaceful nights. Previously, I slept on a grass thatched hut that leaked whenever it rained.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well to give me cash that was used for constructing for my an iron roofed house. GiveDirectly has only done well to me.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to pay back the money I borrowed for complete my house, took to church, bought a mattress, food, 2 bags of cement and paid construction workers. I have not yet spent UGX 700,000 but I am planning to spend it for buying a cow.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The difference I have in my daily life is the delight I feel because I am now healthy since I was able to get proper treatment. I am happy as well because my house is near completion. This will relieve me from the burden of renovating my grass thatched house yearly since I am now aging.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
Although my sight is failing, I took my phone to the LC1 to check for me as everyone around me was saying money had come through. At that moment of realizing money was in my account, I felt so happy. This is because I would now allocate work of building and my treatment.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer to buy building materials such as bricks, sand, iron sheets, timber, cement and paid labor that constructed my house. I then bought some household items such as utensils, and food. I used part of my transfer to get treatment since at the time it was sent, I was really ill.
