What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my third transfer on building a spacious decent four roomed house and now I no -longer stay in a small house. I also paid school fees for my child who in primary school
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in than I now have a semi - permanent cemented house hence cleaning my house has seized to be a problem as opposed before when I was living in a mud house.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by giving money directly to the poor household to use on their most prioritized needs

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying cupboard 10,000 KES . I built decent house for my mother 25000 KES since her previous house had collapsed . I paid labors who built my son's house 3000 KES and bought one and a half bag of maize 6,000 KES and decent clothes for my family members to put on since we used to buy on torn clothes.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to give my mother a shelter after a disaster she underwent of her house collapsing and now I am happy and joyful since GiveDirectly has given me an opportunity of restoring the living standards of my mother hence as a result she feels that her humanity has been regain again from the hopelessness and frustrations that she had.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent most of my first transfer on food because we were going through a serious financial crisis thus putting food on the table was not always easy.

I was from the stream to get water when I received the money and I was very glad.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I plan to spend the transfer to expand my house to accommodate my family. I also plan to spend the transfer to pay school fees for my child. I also plan to spend the transfer to start a business.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement is that I have been is that construct a small house. We however managed to achieve this through difficulty.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that we have faced in life is that of famine. We got poor harvest from the farm and therefore we don't have enough harvest that can sustain my family.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when am in the farm weeding.
