How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been because I am happy to have livestock that will help me meet future cost by selling.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, givedirectly has done well giving us money to buy livestock, land, build houses, and has generally improved people's livelihoods; I don't see anything it hasn't done well.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy a cow, household items, good stuff and balance, to take care of medical emergency.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
When I receieved my first transfer, I paid off the mortgage amount of 1,200,000ugx that I had borrowed for marrying and regained ownership of my land. I used 120,000ugx for purchasing clothes for my wife and children. The balance of 380,000ugx, we are using for feeding in the family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
When I received my first transfer, I felt relieved off family stress and informed my spouse about the incident.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that I have reclaimed ownership of an acre of farm land that I had mortgaged out. I have the hope of cultivating in that additional acre of land in order to get rid off hunger in the family.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i face is how to get money that could enable me by a piece of land and oxen.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest moment is during afternoon hours, after work i always rest and relax.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means to buy oxen, ox-plough and a piece of land. This piece of land i will be ploughing with oxen to enable my family get crop harvests for food , i can also be selling some harvests to raise money for other basic needs.
