How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I am a farmer and a business woman. In this country these things don't really pay. I can hardly afford my family upkeep. Things have not been so good for my family. We could not afford a place to live. We moved in my niece home. I have no new goals. My goal has been to build a house of my own. I have not been able to do that due to lack of money. I was excited when I started receiving payments from GiveDirectly. I am so grateful that our lives will improve for the best.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
I'm a mother of three children of whom two are in Monrovia going to school and one is presently living with me. As a native woman with very little income and supporting two children in Monrovia is really hard. When I received this money from GiveDirectly will I be able to pay my children balance tuition and provide all other support they need. I will put some money aside to build my house because I'm presently sleeping in one of my relative house and start my business.
What is the happiest part of your day?
We are living in real hardships, our living condition is getting worse on a daily busy. Our only source of happiness is the hope that we will be a beneficiary of GiveDirectly cash grant.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My husband was known as one of the business man in this community and everyone had respect for him but when his business broke down things changed. Since our house broke down there has been no way to rebuilt it due to the lack of money, for over two years we have been living in one of our relative house. Our my daughter will soon be throw out of school because we still own the school some money.
