How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different now in that I was able to build a house that together with my children, we shall have a safe and spacious place to stay. Despite the fact that I am still staying in my grass thatched house that leaks and conjested, I am a happy that soon my permanent house will be completed.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion GiveDirectly has done well by giving me money that has enabled me to acquire my personal belongings such as build my house, livestock among others. On the other hand, there is nothing bad that GiveDirectly has done.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy some livestock such as a goat, a pig and a bull. I then added more building materials such as timber, cement, bricks, iron sheets and paying labor that helped me to build my house. I then had buy some house hold items such as utensils, bed sheets, Clothing and food.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
My life has changed because I have got Livestock ( an ox) which I'm planning to use for ploughing my garden. Before the transfer, I had to provide casual labour in someone's farm in exchange for oxen. In addition, I hope to sleep in a permanent house in the near future. I have bought building materials and I'm just waiting for seconding transfer so that I can start to build. Currently I'm sleeping in a thatched house.

The moment I received money from GiveDirectly, I felt very happy because I was going own Livestock ( a bull and goat ) which I never had.

I have spent my first transfer on purchasing building materials (timber, cement 10 bags) worth UGX 924,000 and bought Livestock (a bull, a pig and a goat) worth UGX 776,000
