Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I am planning to put up a shop and start poultry keeping as a project to help generate revenue for my household. I realized that my home is positioned next to a busy road and shops are scattered. So putting up a shop will be advantageous to us.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I have been able to put food on my table and pay school fees for my daughter. She now attends school with minimal destructions. Initially, she was constantly home for school fees and this demoralized and affected her performance. Besides that, putting food on the table was a hustle as I had to work more than two casual jobs to meet the household needs. On certain days we went without food. I am glad that the narrative has changed thanks to GD.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I am hoping to have started the shop and it will be up and running. I am also hopeful that the poultry project will have kicked. These two projects will see our livelihoods change for the better.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
Currently, my life is different from how it was four months ago because we now leave peacefully and there is always a happy mode every day in our home. My wife and I rarely quarrel since the main reason why we used to disagree has partly been solved. Previously, we could get into a fight when she asked for money because I was not always in a position to meet her demands. I only depended on casual jobs which don't pay much, therefore, I can hardly meet most of my household needs. The transfers have really helped taking care of our basic needs and the tranquility that come as a result is priceless
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal for the next four months of my life is to boost my poultry business. The demand has been high lately and the more I invest in it the more I will grow and become richer. This is my retirement plan because I believe that it will help me in future
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I was able to purchase iron sheets with ease. That was the only building material that was remaining for the work to be completed. I am proud to finally continue building my spacious house. The previous one was very small to even accommodate one visitor. I can only thank Give Directly for financial support because I couldn't have reached this far without their help.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
My expectation in the next six months is to ensure my business is doing well. I want to boost my poultry farming business to meet the growing needs of my customers. I will only achieve this if I am determined enough and have enough savings. I believe six months is enough to save enough money to do the necessary changes that will really boost my business.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is different from how it was because I can now take care of my needs and emergencies easily. I was able to use my transfer to pay school fees for my children which was needed urgently. I also bought them school uniforms to replace the old torn uniforms. I feel more responsible and budget conscious. I am able to supplement my monthly income I get from GiveDirectly with the wages that I get from casual jobs to take care of my other needs.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to buy hybrid fertilizer and seeds in preparation for the next planting season. This is my strategy for a bumper harvest in the next harvesting season. Last year was a bit tough because I did not have enough farm inputs. I used the local fertilizers and seeds which did not do well. I ended up purchasing food most of the time which is usually very expensive. I do not wish to be in that situation again that is why I have started planning early so as to ensure that I get a good harvest.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I am able to take care of my needs and emergencies easily. My family has been able to eat well and I feel that I have been able to meet their needs as it is required of me as a parent. The joy of seeing my children getting most of their basic needs especially things that they need for their studies has made the happiest person.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months because I will have started a business. I am planning to sell second-hand clothes. I have hopes that this business will do well because a few people are doing this business at the moment which means it still has market but my strategy will be to move from one household to the next so as to get more customers. Most people in this areas are farmers, very few are into business. Currently, I am a casual laborer at a construction site. It is normally not very hectic but it helps me settle some of my bills although is has not been enough. I am hoping that my business will do well and stop depending on casual jobs to survive.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was in that, I managed to buy two pieces of iron sheets with ease and used them to extend my house. Right now, I enjoy living in a spacious house and I am no longer worried when my relatives come around unlike before where I was not free to let them come over. This is mainly because they had to spend the night at the neighbour's place which was risky because we escort them when time to sleep come. This was embarrassing. Today when they come over I can accommodate them in the living room. Thanks to GiveDirectly.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to start poultry farming since I believe that, I will get more income just like my neighbour who gave me this idea because he is currently practising it and getting more money. I also want to start a business probably operating a shop so as to earn an extra coin which I can use to carter for my other needs.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months is that I managed to buy a solar lantern. In the past, I used to buy paraffin every week which was expensive becuase I had to consider the amount which my children could use during their studies at night. The burden of using this traditional lamp was endless not forgetting the smoke that could be emitted which affected their eyes and health in general. I had no option because this is what I could afford by then. Today, things have taken a sudden change because of the lantern that I bought using my transfer. My house and compound look bright at night and I can also charge my phone using the same solar unlike before where I had to charge it in the nearby trading centre at a cost.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that, I will have started poultry farming and when this happens I am sure of getting an extra income from their sale which I will be able to use in taking care of my basic needs.
