How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My goal was ro build my house and start a business of my own.I was a rice farmer and that could not produce much crops that will enable us to survive or to even paid my two children fees.I spend most of my time on farming just to survive,until give-directly came to my rescue and now I am able to start building my house.

How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
I have not developed a new goal. I was able to buy additional building materials and saved the balance money to await the next transfer to complete the buying of materials.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
My family life have started improving thanks to GiveDirectly for giving me money. Every process went well.

I bought two bundles of Zinc, and food with part of the money and save the balance money.

Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I was in my village going on my farm when I received a message with a huge amount of money in it. I was very much happy and rejoicing that day. I was happy because I haven't seen anyone in my whole life to give such money for free without paying back. I am a farmer and my income was very low. I will have to farm the whole day just to get money to support my family. My plan was to build my own house in my village but I never had money to accomplish my plan. Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my daily life now is I'm able to buy food for my family. I'm also able to buy Mattress to sleep on. I'm so happy that I was enrolled on this program.

When I withdraw my money transfer, I was able to buy my eight (8) inches mattress to sleep on. I bought enough foodstuff for my family. I'm saving the balance to add the rest of the money to buy Zinc to build my own house in my village.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
"I had a business which was a major source of income for my family but I spent all my earnings on food and my son treatment. When I receive the transfer from GiveDirectly, I want to establish a business and pay my children school fees".
What is the happiest part of your day?
"My little son was very sick and I had to spent all my earnings for his treatment. I took him to many hospitals for treatment, right now, he's responding to treatment. That makes me excited".
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
"I find it difficult to support my family, I'm not working and I don't have any relative that's helping me. The challenges I'm faced with right now are not being able to send my children to school and providing food for my family ".
