What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent the larger part of my third transfer on starting a barber shop business 32,000 KES.I now have a source income hence I no longer hustle to get daily income as opposed to before the transfer when being a tout was my source of livelihood. I installed electricity in my house and bought food for my family.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have started a barber shop business and now I have a reliable source of income hence I no longer hustle to get daily income as opposed to before the transfer when my source of livelihood was touting. I hope that my business will grow and I will be able to create employment for my fellow youths.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by sensitizing the community on what GiveDirectly does and through this my society felt they were involved in their projects.I also like the fact that they gave out money in lump sum which enabled the recipients to venture on bigger projects.

I am planning to spend my transfer on iron sheets and other building materials so that I can build my own house and move out of this rented place where I currently live.

The achievement I am proudest of is starting my small barbershop, which provides me with some daily income.

The biggest hardship I am facing in my life is the fact that I don't have a place to call my real home. I just need to move out of this rented place and start living in my own house or home.
