What did you spend your third transfer on?
I used a portion of the transfer to buy a cow. I built an iron roofed kitchen. I also purchased a solar panel for light provision and watching TV set.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different in that I no longer buy kerosene for light provision since I bought a solar panel.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
What GD does well is that it enables us to meet our desires. Honestly, I'm not privy to what GD doesn't do well.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
When I received my second transfer, I spent 17000 KES on a cow and used the rest of the money for plastering the floor of my main house. It was prudent having my own cow since I had been longing to milk. I was tired and sick or buying milk on daily basis and besides this cementing the floor of my main house was the only best solution for eradicating dust and keeping the house clean. I remember I could get it rough walking long distance to search for clay which as a result made me suffer backache.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that despite the drought and famine that has hit my area, I am still able to eat and drink well, together with my household members. It is this money that has been facilitating us on these.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I spent my first transfer on solar panel (5,000 KES) for lighting and also a mattress (3,500 KES) since we did not have any and slept on a mat for years.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment when I received my money I felt overwhelming happiness because at long last we could achieve some of our dreams and improve our standard of living. I even bought a mattress almost immediately to replace the papyrus mat that had served as our ‘’mattress’’ for years.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to use the transfer on buying a cow for milk production for my family.I will ise the remaining amount on renovating my house by plastering the floor, and hire a piece of land for maize farming.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
My proudest achievement being able to own three goats.Through my small business of broom making,l made some savings and bought them. I plan to sell them and buy a calf.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
My biggest hardship is that I have blocked fallopian tubes.l can not give birth.l am so stress about it. My husband doesn't have enough money help me seek proper medical attention.
What is the happiest part of your day?
My happiest part of the day is in the morning when working in my farm.I do maize and sweet potatoes farming.
