Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
In the next four months, I have plans of continuing to be part of a merry go round that was started within our village and be able to accumulate money and buy livestock. This livestock will help me in the long run since I can even sell and meet any financial emergencies that may come by or those that are largely not foreseen.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life is the increase in farm produce having improved my farming practices. With this transfer, I have been able to plant in time and with fertilizers contrary to what I used to do before receiving the transfer. This has greatly increased the farm produce and made us food sufficient as we even have enough to sell and meet other family's needs. This has greatly improved my living standards and that of my family.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I expect my life to change in that I will be more economically empowered. By buying additional livestock and keeping them , the investment will greatly improve my life and that of my family. I am looking forward to making these investments and changing my life and that of my family in totality.

Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
I plan to construct a house for my last born son who recently crossed over to being a man through Kipsigis circumcision rites. I don't want him to continue spending nights in other people's houses where the is a possibility of picking bad behavior. I want him to stay in his own house and maintain his good character.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my life is the possibility to hold the circumcision ceremony and festivities for my last born son. I spent the money throwing him a party and also paying fees for his training into a man from boyhood in the Kalenjin tradition and culture. I would have failed to hold a notable celebration without GiveDiretly. I feel so proud and happy to have done it properly for my lastborn son. Thank you so much for helping me out.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect to have reinvested in maize farming. In the next six months, I will be having a maize crop that will be maturing to provide food for my family. This will provide food for the family as well as some income from selling some of the produce. I also expect to have a potato crop growing on my farm purely for income generation.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
My life is currently different from how it was four months ago since my family now feeds well. My family has been able to take three meals a day since GiveDirectly came into my life. Previously when I only depended on casual jobs we would even sleep hungry even after not eating the whole day. In addition to this, I have been able to buy a three-seater seat for my family. I did not have this before. We used to seat on jerrycans and a few benches as a seat. I am planning to start a business so that I will be able to sustain this lifestyle even after Give Directly have finished their project in our village.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My additional goal is to fully utilize my farm by doing rotational farming. Initially, my farm was idle most of the time because I didn't have enough money to buy the farm inputs. The rotational farming method will ensure my farm is productive throughout the year. I am planning to plant potatoes on my farm after harvesting my maize this coming season. I am glad I can do this because I now have the resources to facilitate the whole process.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
The biggest difference in my daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer is that I am now happy. I have been able to buy some clothes using part of my transfers. Though the clothes I wear are not expensive, I am always neat and clean. I had started developing self-esteem issues due to the inability to afford decent clothes. This limited me from doing so many things. I had become stagnant in life because I didn't believe in myself. I thank this organization for boosting me financially. I have now regained my self-esteem.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
I expect my life to change in the next six months in that my family will have enough food. I want to focus on my farm by making sure I adhere to the rotational method of farming. I have a list of food I want to plant on my farm for the whole year. I thank this organization for empowering me financially. I could not have achieved this dream without their help.

How is your life currently different from how it was four months ago?
I no longer go for casual jobs regularly and I feel good about that because casual jobs are usually draining and demanding. I used to wake up early and this exposed me to pneumonia which really affected my productivity. My health deteriorated and I couldn't afford to cater to the hospital bills. I know my condition would have gotten worse If I continued doing casual jobs. With the transfers, I got to buy necessities for my family.
Do you have any new or additional goals for your life for the next four months?
My new goal is to build a new house. We currently live in a small old house that is beyond repair. I have already started buying the building materials. I believe if I continue saving the money, I normally get from Give directly, through the merry go round I will manage to build a more spacious and comfortable house.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life in the last four months preceding the current transfer.
Initially, I use to do casual jobs to earn money. I fully depended on manual jobs in order to put food on the table and cater to other crucial family needs. As at now, I do not occasionally go for this casual jobs since I can comfortably buy food using the transfers I normally get. I at times do such jobs to supplement what I already have.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I will have built a good house. I am glad we will no longer squeeze ourselves in this tiny room. I will renovate this old house and make it a kitchen.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
I am old but still sought casual jobs to do to get money for buying food. I thank GiveDirectly for coming to our village as this has given me a break from strenuous jobs which I used to engage in before. Now I can afford to buy food which can sustain me for the whole month with my mothly transfers.
How do you expect your life to change in the next six months?
In the next six months, I would expect to have stopped going to seek casual jobs and would be having more sheep on my farm.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
Currently, my life would have been so difficult in that now I got enough food and every day I woke up a strong person after taking healthy and enough food as before when I had no money I would stay without food.
Do you have any new goals that you didn't have before receiving the transfer?
I would expect to buy some sheep so that when it multiplies I can sell some when Igot financial crisis to meet my bills.
