What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to buy bricks, timber , two metallic doors and 30 pieces of iron sheets.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
Give directly did well to give me money that has enabled me construct a house. On the otherhand there is nothing that give directly has not done well so far.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life was so difficult in that I was living in a grass thatched hut which was not conducive but now I am happy that my house is almost complete. I never thought that I would be sleeping under a roofed house but now that dream is becoming a reality to me.

What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used my first transfer for buying bricks which i intend to use for constructing an iron roofed house. I also bought clothes, beddings, kicthen utensils and used some money as capital for starting a business of selling fish.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
The moment i received the transfer, i felt so happy and that same time i stopped worrying about tomorrow.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life is that i now have peace of mind and i have hope of constructing a very beautiful home. I bought very nice clothes that even when i put on am very smart. The business i have started is giving me money which is enabling me to provide basic needs to my family. Am so grateful to Give Directly.

What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I face is poor accommodation. because the house I sleep when it rains, it leaks just like your sleeping outside.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is morning.especially when i have woken up well and i hold my hoe to do my garden work.
What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money is going to help me to build a permanent house for my family .and the balance I will use for opening my business of selling smoked fish. which will help my house to generate more income even if GD program is closed in my village .
