How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
The cash transfers enabled me to secure my academic documents that had been withheld for three years due to an outstanding school fees debt. The cash transfers made it possible for me to purchase household items like bedding and clothes. I am happy because I had no money to pay at school so that my documents could be released. More so I am now a presentable person in the community because I dress decently. The cash transfers made these possible.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well to send money directly to the people's mobile money accounts. More so GiveDirectly does well to sensitize the people against engaging in bribes and corruption. In my opinion GiveDirectly should also consider all residents without segregating.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer to purchase a desktop computer worth UGX 750,000 and a printer worth UGX 320,000. I also purchased household items like bedding, clothes worth UGX 380,000. I gave my uncle UGX 100,000 as a present.
