What did you spend your third transfer on?
I spent my third transfer on paying school fees for my son who was in a vocational training college for a driving course 10,000 KES and now his through with the course and his employed.I bought a two sheep 7,000 KES and one bag of maize for my family's consumption 4,000KES. I added capital on my cereal vending business and now I am getting double profits from the business.
How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I have paid school fees for my son in a vocational training collge for a driving course.Right now he is through with his course and his already employed.I have enough food to feed with my family thus I no longer borrow food as I used to.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
In my opinion, GiveDirectly did well by giving money directly to poorest households hence this individual have improved their living standards positively such as building decent houses and starting businesses.

What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spent my second transfer on buying 2 bulls 24,000 KES, dairy cow 15,000 KES, one sac of maize 3,000 KES, one sac of millet 2,000 KES, poultry 2,500 KES, cooking oil 2,500 KES and kept the remaining amount for emergency.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my daily life is that I eat well and don't miss meals like it was the case before I got my transfer.

When I got my token payment, I paid medical bills for my family members with 1350 KES, I spent 3200 KES on a sack of maize, I sent 1200 KES to my in-laws and I spent the remaining 4250 KES on a mattress.

What are you planning to spend your transfer on?
I am planning to spend my transfer on buying six cows that I will spend on paying for dowry for my son's who have not been able to raise money for dowry and the remaining amount I will spend on buying four goats and four sheep that I can keep on my farm.
What is the achievement you are proudest of?
The achievement that I am proudest of is that I was able to build my house even after the death of my husband using cash that I got from the sale of a piece of my land to development project that planned to do irrigation in our village.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship that I face in my life is that I do not have a stable source of income and my son's don't have a stable job too hence at times they are forced to depend on me.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is when we come together as a family and prepare supper in the evening with my daughter-in-law. This makes me happy as we get to share a lot with her as she is not from our village.
