How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
My life is different than it would have been if I never received the transfer in that I paid school fees for my children on time and they were not sent home. This could have been so challenging for me because I depend on small scale farming at home to earn an income.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GiveDirectly does well by giving out money to the poor people in the village to improve their living standards. I do not see what GiveDirectly did not do well since they fulfill all their promises on time.
What did you spend your second transfer on?
I spend my second transfer on to pay school fees for my children in secondary school and the rest of the money I used it to buy food for the family.

Describe the biggest difference in your daily life.
The biggest difference in my life right now is that I no longer worry about where I will get fees for my children. I am so happy that I will buy another cow and have a stable family.
Describe the moment when you received your money. How did you feel?
I cannot really describe how I felt since I was so happy and could not really believe I had such an amount of money with me. I am so thankful.
What did you spend your first transfer on?
I used the transfer that I received to pay school fees for my children in secondary schools. I also bought cement and building materials. I am planning to buy a cow with the remaining amount of the transfer.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means that i will be able to enroll my daugther to the nearest college or polytechnic as well as practice poultry farming.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is during midday. This is the time when i see that all the set activities for the day are going on well as planned in the morning thus this brings me joy knowing the goals for the day will be achieved successfully.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i have faced in my life is lack of stable employment to provide for my family. I have two daughters who have their own children whom their fathers rejected hence this has been a great burden to us as a family since we lack money to provide them with their needs.
