How is your life different than it would have been if you never received the transfer?
New goal now is to have a house of iron sheets which I did not think it will ever be possible in my life considering that I am poor and I don't have means to such incomes. Now this goal will be achieved in near future cause I bought all material for my new house and thanks to GD.
In your opinion, what does GiveDirectly do well, and what does it not do well?
GD does well in giving people money which is helping many poor communities and we are thankful to whoever thought of this idea in the first place, may God bless them.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I bought iron sheets, 3bags of fertilizer, 5bags of maize, clothes for children.

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money means having a decent house, my house is in a very bad state, it is also grass thatched. Every year we change the roof, right now am worried because this year i do not have enough grass for the roof. As if that is not enough I smear the floor with black mud every week which is tiresome and water is also scarce. With the transfers that I will receive I will renovate my house and buy iron sheets for roofing. Thank you Givedirectly for the opportunity.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day is in the morning when I wake up and realise that all my children and family members are health and alive. I usually thank God every morning for good health.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship I have faced in my life is lack of decent house. My source of income is piece works, the little money I make every day from these piece works is usually used to buy food for my family. I have the desire for a decent house but I could not find enough money to build / renovate a house hence I have been staying in a poorly built house for above 10 years now.
