If not for this money, I would not have managed buy everything I have bought as I was struggling to even provide for my household

By giving us the chance to decide on how to use the money in ways we see best , GD gives us the financial freedom we need to develop ourselves by doing things we think and feel are best suited to our needs and wants

Using the money I got from GD, I have managed to buy 3 mattresses for my children who were sleeping on a mosquito net, 2 bags of maize for food, 14 iron sheets and clothes and bedding for my household members

I was very happy. I was Also thankful because Give Directly delivered what it promised.
Describe the biggest difference in your daily life since you started receiving payments from GiveDirectly.
The biggest difference in my life is that now i am able to afford building a house, and eventually i will have my own house.
What did you spend your most recent transfer(s) on?
I have bought 2 bags of fertilizer, a Mattress to be sleeping comfortably, 4 bags if maize for food. I want to build a house, therefore I have bought 3 bags of cement, nails, wires,timber for roofing and 22 iron sheets. I have Also bought clothes for my children

What does receiving this money mean to you?
Receiving this money really means so much to me i know this money comes from well wishers who wants nothing but a better life for people like us,so to me basically is being given a chance to handle a fixed amount and make life changing decisions that is if you are capable to do that.
What is the happiest part of your day?
The happiest part of my day depends on how my mood is swinging on that particular day if i wake up happy there's a possibility of me being happy for the rest of the day.
What is the biggest hardship you've faced in your life?
The biggest hardship i currently face is of shelter i live in a poor house and i also suffer from hunger yearly since i usually harvest handful products that doesn't last long due to lack of adequate farm inputs like fertiliser.
